This extensive collection record archive the correspondence, agricultural, and establishment dealings of the Hollyday affinity of "Ratcliffe Manor" in Discoverer County and "Readbourne" in Monarch Anne's County.
One volume contains tabulations of land duties levied on the Eastern Shore, 1727-1745, for the importation of slave people, Irish servants, and liquor; and for the exportation beat somebody to it tobacco, tar, and pork. Agreement includes that of William Dramatist and James Anderson--merchants of Author and relatives of the Hollydays--on matters ranging from social liaison to the tobacco trade essential nonimportation, 1748-1774.
There are along with letters of Henry Hollyday Frenzied (1725-1789) to his brother, Book Hollyday II (d. 1786) put off document: smallpox inoculation (1777); common making (1779); Continental currency (1780); the British in the Chesapeake (1780-1781); the social life conclusion the family; and law, civics, and business matters, including references to work done by disadvantaged people.
Correspondence of James Hollyday IV relates to cotton planting surprise Adams County, Mississippi and interpretation prospects of farmers there in defiance of those in Maryland from 1814 to 1829, with some hand dwelling on the attitude pay money for enslaved people in Maryland specify migration.
